@sam: Subrata Dutta did not exactly say that EB will merge with a club. When asked that since there are reports that EB will merge with Odisha FC, the derby would lose its grandeur, he said that it won't be the case, rather, the excitement of the derby would be felt more in the ISL.
Anyway, let's hope that in whichever avatar the two teams operate and in whichever league they play, the core of the teams remain "East Bengal" and "Mohun Bagan". Indian football would be incomplete without the Kolkata Derby
