@shibier ; Different sources are quoting 25000 as capacity. It is Nagpur Municipal Corporation owned stadium so it is used for variety of social purposes. Yoga Day, Constitution day and various city functions are held here. The heoight of light poles is low (Malappuram Stadium style) so TV Telecast with floodlights will be difficult. Also if you closely see the pic which I earlier posted, you will see some people playing cricket. But the stadium is good to play Football.

I m currently standing near Transstadium Ahmedabad and must say the work is in going on in good pace and a lot of work has been already done.

Maybe, if it is as great as it is, get some Premier League teams or something to India.

They are building Hotel and Convention center at the venue-thats what I heard. Then cultural events are a possibility. From Yoga Day to Football, everything is possible.
