http://www.stadiarena.com/projects/
STADIARENA, GUJARAT, INDIA In January 2009, Gujarat’s
Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, announced that he is to champion this
innovative development, creating India’s first truly world class
multi-purpose 25,000 capacity stadium, to be built in Ahmedabad Mega
city, Gujarat, India.

Once the construction is complete, it is envisaged that the Ahmedabad
stadium facilities will also host a football sporting academy, training
India’s stars of the future, assisting the National team’s and Vision
India’s objective of producing a world class, competitive team in men’s,
ladies and junior international competitions.

The development also includes a hotel, private members club, banquet halls, retail and office accommodation.

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2012.

2013 is in its last quarter, and still no news from Ahmedabad

SAI Gandhinagar center is I think least used Sports facility and training center in India. Besides Motera Cricket Ground, the other Sardar Patel Stadium closer to city center is used more for Dandiya and people like Baba Ramdev then for Sports.
They may host 1-2 games for I-league that too in december before Lusofonia Games. Full use for I-league only after Lusofonia Games-that means next season only. Anyways Duler Ground is fine.
