Udanta played in AFC U 19 qualifiers, AIFF might have done all tests and his reported age is 23.. And I agree these are tests not accurate and can be +-2 or 3.. even if he had cheated , his age would be 24/25/26..
If something is fissy, we need to blame state associations/local clubs/Academies like TFA/AIFF..
Also Currently he is playing for NT.. how does it matter even if his age is 23 or 26 or as u said 29..
Sorry but Udanta does not have qualities to be a good winger as well. A decent winger needs to have good dribbling, first touch, crossing, good game sense and composure. Tell me, how many of these attributes does udanta have? Barring a few moments his first touch is abysmal. He almost always get a heavy touch and ball goes ahead and is easily intercepted by opposition players. Further his dribbling is very basic. He can't do stepovers and is highly one footed. He can't dribble to get past his opponent players. Lastly his crossing is equally bad. Had pace been the sole criteria for selecting a winger then Usain bolt would have been a world class footballer by now! Yet he failed even in A-League!!
Udanta used to be a no.9! Ashley Westwood ruined him and now as he is almost 30, expecting him to improve technically is laughable! And yes, he is 5 years overage from his published age.
Hope Stimac had seen the last 2 games.... If u want to break the lines against defensive teams, need to have a midfield of Soosairaj, Sahal & Brandon with Chetri upfront....
Constantine's boys can play only in the defensive English format... They are basically good athletes & Work in progress footballers.... neither tactically sound nor creative...
It is not only about players. Changes need to be brought in players formation and style too.
Is the Croatian influence of packing the team with midfielders and starting every move from the back working with skillset, physique and talent of indian players ?
In that case, either change the playing style or choose suitable players !!!
Results are not promising - just 1 win in 9 matches. Something should be done, and quickly. other wise Stimac will be Koevarmans part 2 who still did not get any Coach / Manager job after his India debacle.
Nothing will happen of Indian football till players start training abroad and playing in other Asian leagues. This is ridiculous. With the current system, we are making zero progress
