Dude its not uefa or concacaf or even south america that India cant make it to 2018 finals. The thing is that we r in the weakest confed on the planet the afc, so if we tighten up our socks and start planning properly we we'll be in with a realistic chance.after all 7 years is a long time.

Disagree. AFC might not have the strongest teams in world but it's very, very competitive. Either way AFC has better teams than Concacaf. If you consider the number of nations/number of slots ratio then AFC is clearly most difficult. Also consider teams like Japan, Korea and Australia who will capture three places every WC. Competition is defnitely higher in Asia.

    Agree with you

AFC is very difficult and what is strange about it is that quality between each tier of teams is too big. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

that was a nice video.. thanks panchgun..cant we hav sumthn similar in football? we can share this link in social network and atleast few ppl can see sumthng in football..

On India qualifying for World Cup in Russia 2018, its not impossible but we have to have proper plans..we need to have a short term goal till we get to the finals!! AIFF needs to plan for every year till the World Cup instead of next 5-10 yrs, this way in 4-5 years we will know if we are good enough to play in Russia. Every aspect has to be looked into such as infrastructure, players, coach, matches, players nutrition, fans and much more. Until we do all these we cannot expect to play in the World Cups not in another 50 yrs..I hope m not being pessimistic!!

No mate u r not pessimistic at all!! Nothing is going to change until the AIFF gets its house in order. We can harp abt the fact that we need to do this and do that but nothing is going to change until aiff has a serious look at itself and see what have they done for football in the 75 years or so.Despite having so much potential and talent we continue to lie at the bottom of the rankings (that too in Asia) .They cant make us fools anymore saying that cricket is to blame for footballs demise ,if that was so how has it survived in Australia, japan, china etc where it is not the no 1 sport but still these teams compete for continental and world honors.

After watching yesterdays match, india playing 2018 WC is just a day dream.I think except 3-4 players in IA rest are very average players. To be in WC we must be in the same league of South Korea,Japan,Australia. We are not even close to Thailand even.
