Familiar story. Same same everytime. Goal in last 2 minutes. Even in last minute of 1st half, India conceded a Penalty Corner but somehow saved it. Did anyone see the pathetic Penalty corners taken by Raghunath and Rupinder pal Singh today. Sandeep Singh has the ability to score on PC but Aussie coach do not like him. They take Rupinder Pal singh who cannot take a shot and cannot score even in front of empty goal. Raghunath play cricket sixer shot. I was impressed with Sardar Singh and Mandip singh who played for lot of time on the field today. Already two losses and India is yet to play Australia. It will be a miracle if India avoid 12th position (last) in this world cup.
@samiam ; This year India will play with Pakistan in Commonwealth Games as well as Asian Games. Lets see how it goes.
Some players who have dissapointed so far in this tournament are S V Sunil, Manpreet Singh, Yuvraj, Lalit, Chinglanena Singh, Raghunath, Rupinder Pal. Stellar performance so far by Sardar Singh, Mandip, Sreejesh, Akashdee, Dharamveer singh.
Only positivity in this game was that our posession was better and we did not rely much on Back Pass. We were unable to get more PC as well as yet to even get a proper shot on Penalty Corners.
Same old story. No penetration in the circle. Mindless hockey no moves nothing. None of the moves are being build thru midfield,it is just hit and and hope. Forwards lack skill and composure big time. Simple balls without pressure are not being trapped cleanly. Regarding the Penalty corner it was the fault of the pusher who failed to find either Raghu or Rupinder 2 out of 3 Times.It is blunder not to find them. I personally feel the difference between teams is not that much but India is not able to execute the plan on that particular day. But still basics are missing in this tournament as far as India is concerned
Australia will not wait till last 5 minutes to score winner against this India Team. Actually Penalty Corners used to be India's strength. Sandeep Singh, Jugraj Singh and all. Now in last 2 years or so, PC has completely dried up.
