Thanks mate, much appreciated. Don't know when EB is going to do the official team announcement, till then fingers crossed.

  • They dont have to announce the whole team, specially sense it is only May and the season ended last season. Although they also have KFL but I doubt Rabia would like that.

I am excited about the Manandeep and Rabia partnership. Manandeep and even Robin Singh can learn a lot.

BTW, any word on Saikat Saha Roy. What do East Bengal fans think of him. I actually want to see him do well at East Bengal and maybe break into the India team one day.

Yes, Manandeep and Robin can benefit playing with Rabia no doubt. Saikat is staying in EB. He is good but he commits unnecessary fouls sometimes and loses his temper. I don't think he will get a place in national team till naoba, robert are around and he needs to work on his physical strength too.
  • Hopefully next season will be Saikats break out season.

Yeah, good thing is Morgan gives him enough chance to make improvements in spite of having Robert and Naoba in his team.

Eb making a balanced side. They have got the best Indian defenders Raju and Arnab. Then they have Okpara. Gurwinder, though clumsy like Okpara can be handy when they need a policeman against player like Ranti or Odafe. Side backs are not that good but there is hardly any side back in India worth mentioning. Naoba, Soumik are Ok for Indian standard. Dont like Robert much.

Midfield is the best in the country. Penn Orji , Mehtab Hussain (hope he will remain fit), Sanju Pradhan (He is fast maturing and I believe he can be the next superstar ) Lalrindika (Another promising midfielder). Khabra, though liked by Morgan is just a mediocre player (very poor passing skill) and EB will not be affected if he leaves. But, EB should have retain Charan Rai.

Robin and Manadeep are best Indian strikers after Sunil and Jeje. They will be benefited from competition among themselves for the single spot up front. Baljit was not that good to threaten Robin for that position. Now, if EB get the substitution for Tolgay (Hope Rabia will join in and succeed) surely they will be the toughest opponent to take on next year.

Now, EB should look for a good physical trainer and Physio from Australia or South Afrrica. Last year they suffer a lot. Mehtab missed a lot of matches since 2nd minute of Fed Cup final and could not be as effective as previous season. Naoba and Vasum sit out for most of the I league matches. Same for Raju Gaikowad. Even Robin misses some matches in I league and was in poor form in the midway due to groin injury.

Yes Sabir, I agree with your point of having a Physio, remember Kavin Jackson who was very impressive with the team which won the Asean Cup. Although last night I heard Morgan saying they will not get a physio but are looking for a rehab specialist to look upon the players who are recovering from injury. Personally I think having a good physio in side will tackle the problem better.

There is difference btwn Oman and India. Oman is ranked 86, while India is at 164;so there is a difference. Regarding Tolgay's price, it could be high( considering MB's affinity to clinch EB players with higher perks etc), but Tolgay priced at 8 times more than what he actually deserves( it came out in today's ABP - leading Bengal daily), is a bit overstated. Papas has just landed in India/hardly knows anything about Indian football and he should refrain from making such comments. For that matter, he also hasn't coached a A- League club.
