<font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">Exactly, I just revamped the Hassan Rabia wikipedia page and I have changed my opinion. Rabia has a much better CV than Tolgay and considering the similarities between India and Oman I dont think Rabia will have a problem. Great move by East Bengal. Now I just want these transfer moves to be confirmed. </font><div><font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2"><br></font></div><div><font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">As for the NSW, it is more I-League actually to me. Although is there a difference between I-League and the Kolkata Football League. Not really. </font></div>
<br><div><br></div><div>There is difference btwn Oman and India. Oman is ranked 86, while India is at 164;so there is a difference. Regarding Tolgay's price, it could be high( considering MB's affinity to clinch EB players with higher perks etc), but Tolgay priced at 8 times more than what he actually deserves( it came out in today's ABP - leading Bengal daily), is a bit overstated. Papas has just landed in India/hardly knows anything about Indian football and he should refrain from making such comments. For that matter, he also hasn't coached a A- League club.</div>
<br><div>But he knows about Tolgay and what other A-league players can bring to Indian football if they are that much money. I am not denying Tolgay is definitely a good player and better than many in India but he DEFINITELY does not deserves to be paid 1.6 crores. And Arhtur Papas was the assistant coach and the head coach of the youth team of Newcastle Jets which is an A-league team.</div>

<br><div><br></div><div>Buddy, EB was also also after him to retain him till a few days back! and the difference in his emoluments btwn the two clubs is not significantly high! EB had some good/sound logic not to increase beyond a point, b'coz it might affect other players' morale; while MB doesn't care about all these things(for which they have suffered a lot in the past also!)</div>

<br><div>Yes you are right and I did not like that at all and am glad they backed out for whatever reasons. He deserved a hike because of his service to the club and being the highest scorer for 2 seasons but 1.6 crores was a bit too much, that's all I'm saying.</div>

If Papas said that Tolgay is overpriced by 8 times then I think he will surely get an attack when he hears the transfer amount for Gourmangi,Subrata Paul.It is not only foreigners, Indian players are overpriced too and all the clubs are doing the same thing more or less. <br>
Haha, surely he will but not all clubs are doing it specially the ones in Goa. Dempo has been doing it and Salgaocar and Churchill are relying a lot more on youth this year.

<br><div><br></div><div>I think too much is being made out about the players' price etc. only b'coz the Kolkata clubs, after years of supression from the Goan club, have given it back to them this year - courtsey more money pumped either by the main sponsor/co sponsors, which have enabled these clubs to snatch some of the big names of Goa, so there is so much of hue and cry. Make no mistake, Mahesh Gawli, few years back signed a contract with Dempo with record amount(first Indian player to hit a crore mark), Subrata Pal was lured by PFC couple of season back with record(post that, the price of goalkeepers have gone thru the roofs); it was the kolkata clubs, who had repeatedly raised voice that time, yet no paid heed to their concern. So lets be impartial in our judgement and not make biased comment. Dont think, Dempo could have retained the nucleus of the team for the last 4/5 years, if they had not offered huge amount to their playrs - its a different thing that it never came out in the press. So, I think its fair that Kolkata clubs are now on the hunt for big names with big money.</div>

churchill is going through a bad financial state. They clearly said, they are not gonna do flashy buys that they used to do. Salgaocar in last decade or so never built a high budget team. They won Ileague one season back with an average budget team. Dempo since their promotion in Ileague had always splashed big money to build or retain a team, this season won't be different
