<font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">But nobody said Tolgay is shit. I am pissed off as he ditched EB which means I do not believe he is shit. But when you compare him with A-League player, </font><font face="Arial, Verdana"><span style="font-size: 14px;">of course</span></font><font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2"> he is not as good otherwise Tolgay would have played in A-league too</font>

Rudra bhai we are not saying Tolgay is bad, rather he is one of the current best foreign players but we are just excited on the prospect of having a A-league player in EB who can be lethal for other clubs and of course he might not click but being fans and supporters how can we not get excited???

I was just refering to the comments which says 'days of Tolgay and Zeleny are over'<div><br></div><div>Tolgay and Zeleny!!!!! Zeleny has been one of the worst things we have seen....</div><div><br></div><div>I am also excited abt a league players</div>
  • Tolgay is far from shit. He is perfect for India and Pappas said that. What he and many others also said was that while he is good, he is not as good as people make him out to be in terms of how much he is payed.<div><br></div><div>Plus Van Dijk and Sean Rooney are obviously better than Tolgay. They would need time to adjust but they will still do very well in India. </div><div><br></div><div>As for Zeleny, he was not bad also. He was good but not good enough to be a starter in I-League. He was always more of a bench player but at his wages it would make no sense to play him off the bench.</div><div><br></div><div>Anyway I am happy if we are done with taking players from the NSW Premier League. If we do then they should be the young ones. If we want an Australian go after an A-League player, Japanese then go after a proven J.League, I notice that we do have J.League players sometimes but they were always low class J.League. Same with K-League.</div><div><br></div><div>And if not go after some West Asian players like Hassan Rabia. The players are there for sure. </div><div><br></div><div>And if we want a Nigerian or African we should look at the top Nigerian Premier League players. The wages in those leagues are shit, they would love India.</div>

<br><div><br></div><div>The average salary of the average J.League player is around $60,000 a month which is $420,000 a year.</div><div><br></div><div>Now I club like Chirag Kerala who paid there foreigner David Sunday $6,500 a month then it would be hard for them but I think a big I-League club can get at least 1 player who salary is between $40,000 and $60,000 a month. </div><div><br></div><div>Right now if we can pay our top foreigners 3 crore ($600,000) than we can shell out for at least one normal J.League player but they would probably be over the age of 30.</div>

</font><br><div style="font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; "><br></div><div><font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">True but the experience from one can be very good. Henry joined the Red Bulls and sense then the Red Bulls and US Soccer have the brightest product in Juan Agudelo who has already scored for the national team at the age of 18 specially one against Argentina (which had players like Messi in it). David Beckham and Robbie Keane have produced great talent from the Los Angeles Galaxy. Of course that wont be the same with a J.League player but you get my point. Plus why get a young player at this moment. Why not give a chance to a young Indian and get the over 30 foreigner. </font></div><div><font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2"><br></font></div><div><font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">I think once the level of play in I-League gets a little better (North American Soccer League, Football League 2, J.League Division 2) standard then we can start getting some young foreigners from places like Brazil etc but for now we should try to focus on grooming the Indians and getting some experienced foreigners to guild them.</font></div>

@somesh: for some reason I was not too impressed watching few clips of Sean Rooney (there are not many clips actually). He was injured when he was in Newcastle and had to transfer to Deltras in Indonesia because of that. Deltras rank 16th in their national league. All these facts are worrying me.
