Perhaps because he is a left-winger (primarily) and not a striker. Look at his records... Ricketts is not a goalscorer. The most he has scored at a club is 4 at Toronto FC. The reason he is more known is because of his pace and ability to create chances which is exactly what he has done for Dempo so far.
Also he brings tons of marketing potential to the club as well which, in my opinion, is not being taken advantage of. If IMG (our marketing partners) were smart then they would take Ricketts and Hernandez along with Ranti and Jeje Lalpekhlua and create an advertisement with all of them in it. "Come see the former Premier League player Ricketts. Come see the former World Cuper Carlos Hernandez. Come see the I-League top goalscorer Ranti Martins. And come see the future of Indian football... Jeje Lalpekhlua. Only in the I-League." Of course nothing has happened.
An invisiblle person starts haunting Luis baretto once MFC takes the lead in every matches :P

i am not pointing just him but the negative tactic..... not only him many players gets injured in such situation for MFC such things wont help them gain fans when they start to play at cooperage....the mumbai public are already used to european football and if they show such quality on field... then the fans coming once wont return i doubt

Sporting will be happy to welcome him back if MFC fans are criticizing their own players.
I thought Dempo would want him back. He is a good back-up when not flopping.
