Well I understand that a lot of people are happy about Armando Colaco's appointment/confirmation as India's next coach. But in reality will it be good for Indian Football? I mean if anyone asks me I would say I am happy that an Indian is going to coach its football team but in the hindsight, I wouldnt be too happy about it. Since now was the perfect opportunity to get someone with International experience and also a master tactician. We needed someone who could take us to the future but instead we are looknig at a short term goals. I may be wrong and I would be happy if I am wrong but this looks to me like another bungling AIFF could have done away with.
Do you think any Foreign coach can select a perfect team especially in such a short period with I-League coming to end ??
Armando is good,he has been following the I-League,been facing West Asian teams in AFC Cup.Last but not least you save lakhs of money through his salary.
Now say who's better for now.
Well agree for now he is the best in the business
As for other points..M sure at this level it wont b too tough to find a gud team, for few games intially, by anyone. Facing either the East Asian or the West Asian club teams isnt too gr8 specially when u lose 9-0 and 5-0 to few of them. You need experience in facing strong national teams and knw the tactics and strategies against a stronger opponent and this whats counts. As for saving money, well to get someone really gud u need to dish out more. We cant go anywhere if we think of the money and at the same time cant give more then required.
Well like u said nothing wrong in trying so lets keep our fingers crossed and hope Colaco produces magic with our team. This will make more people join the bandwagon. CHEERS

Armando said that he will give chance to all who performed consistently well in ongoing I league and he might exclude some senior players. He will try to play the short passing game that Dempo use to play.Lets see how he performs.
Colaco said he has already taken All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) permission to include at least six Dempo players in the squad, so that the rest of the players understand the style of play that will be adopted in the future.“We will play four-vs-two’s, five-vs-two’s in training so that the passing becomes better. In a match, you look up, control the ball and make a pass — all in one flow. In case there is a scoring opportunity up front, then play the long ball. More you have the ball, more are the chances of you scoring.
“All this sounds simple. At Dempo, we have practiced this style for many years before we started getting rewards. Same will be the case with India. We can’t expect anything in four months or one year,” he explained. One change that he does expect to bring is in the squad. Colaco is of the opinion that youngsters doing well in the I-League need to be given an opportunity to play for India.
“For that to happen, many senior players, who have taken their place for granted will be left out. I have the players I want in the squad in my mind and I will discuss it with the rest of coaching staff before making an announcement. Many egos will be hurt and there will be a lot hue and cry, I guess but I cannot help it,” he said,
