Indian football's second tier champions NEROCA FC has succesfully retained the cream of the crop from their promotion-winning squad for the upcoming 2017/18 I-League season.
Skipper and first choice goalkeeper Lalit Thapa, midfielder David Lalbiakzara, former India internationals Moirangthem Govin Singh (defender) and Singam Subash Singh (striker), midfielders Thangjam Saran Singh, Moirangthem Ashok Singh, Moirangthem Dhananjoy Singh, Ningthoujam Pritam Singh, Thokchom Johnson Singh, Chinakham Anandkumar Singh, and Ngasepam Tondonba Singh are the players who have been retained by the Manipur-based club.
The club has also decided to retain their African duo- defender Kallon Varney and striker Felix Odili for their much awaited debut in the top tier of Indian football.
Neroca FC ensured their promotion to the top division of the I-League having clinched the second division league title last month by notching up a 4-1 win over Lonestar Kashmir in their last game.
