The 2022-23 season of the Hero I-League will be broadcast on two
different television channels for the first time in the history of the
competition, with the matches set to be shown on Eurosport and
Doordarshan Sports.
Apart from the two television channels, the Hero I-League will also be streamed live on Discovery+.
In a press conference held in New Delhi on Friday, November 4, 2022,
AIFF Secretary General Dr. Shaji Prabhakaran announced the two
broadcasters for the upcoming Hero I-League season. AIFF President Mr.
Kalyan Chaubey, who was indisposed, could not attend the meet to address
the media.
Entering their third season in the Hero I-League in 2022-23, Sudeva
Delhi FC feature a number of exciting Indian players and will be led by
Japanese tactician Atsushi Nakamura, who brings in the experience of
having worked with the Bhutan national team, as well as Japanese clubs
like Togichi City FC and Sagan Tosu FC.
Sreenidhi Deccan will play its last iLeague this season. The club will only focus on youth development from next year, they have been inspired by Pune FC.
