Also, the modalities of the tendering process is not right IMO. They should have a list of cities from which teams may be inducted progressively. And the cities should be serialized on the bases of certain criteria like size, economy, youth population, linkages, football tradition and so on. Cities on the top end should be 'prepped' by the Fed before 'selling' them to a franchisee. Professional expertise may also be called on for this.

Right now they are doing it upside down; that is, selecting the corporate, and corporate deciding the city of operation. And the exercise flopping.

It works this way. PP has a working relationship with many corporates. These corporates wants some concessions at the same time PP and his stooges want a share of the pie.

One of the way that corporates can bring in cash and legalise transactions is by investing in a football club with Franchise fees and etc channelling.

This is part of a larger game of money transfers in my opinion am sure insiders add more info on this.

A football club for the sake of sports is secondary.

That's all right. You cannot fight money laundering and others just like that. But while they are utilizing the sports here, let the Fed also maximize its gains. It won't harm anybody if we ask the corporates to select their base from a pre-formulated (by AIFF) list. That way the club stands to be more 'durable', which would help the corporate in the way that they can sell the club (or their stake in it), for a price.

Ozone FC will play in I-League 2 in all probability. If logic and interest of Indian Football is taken into consideration, Minerva AFC and Chennaiyin City FC will get direct entry. But with IMGR controlling everything, who knows what will happen.

Any insights on Chennai FC? It would be interesting if a team from the city is in the league.

Minerva should play in second division for another year IMO. Plus, that name!
