> @proj - Anil Kumar is regularly scoring in practice matches, what do u think about his chances once we have Odafa and Tolgay ready to play?
Remember Tolgay is most effective through the wings, he can play on the flanks, also Manish Bhargav used to be striker at Chandigarh academy, he was schooled into a right winger at MBSFA. My assessment of Manish is that he still needs to learn a lot to become a genuine winger. I have seen the academy boys play a few times and I think they are still far from being complete players, that's one of the challenges the MB youth development programme is facing, the finishing aspects need a lot of work. i made some proposals but they were shot down or at best only partially accepted citing certain factors, lets leave that for some other time. Also most probably, Nirmal will play RWB and we all know he has deficiencies on the attacking side of things, in that case someone like Tolgay will come in handy. Anil Kumar gives us options, along with Dipendu.
Odafa has his own deficiencies, he does a few things extremely well but does not do a lot of stuff at all, that's passe in modern football, no wonder the need for players who complement him and cover up for his deficiencies. You can leave Manish or Anil out but not Odafa, can you ? Even if you or I can accept it if it happens for a reason, the crowd given how emotional they are, will never be able to accept it. Can you rule out Sachin Tendulkar unless he rules himself out ? This can happen in the west, not in Calcutta football, period.

As informed earlier, the official statement has come in about a couple hours ago.
Official: East Bengal has requested Tolgay Ozbey to come to the club premises & take his token back....

Mohun Bagan was at 78 when I voted, your vote might help improve rankings, so please vote for Mohun Bagan.
Mohun Bagan is currently at number 19, top 10 doesn't look that insurmountable now.
on what basis?
No trophy since 2009.
Tomorrow Tolgay is scheduled to sign for MB sharp at 2pm at IFA office. He was released a couple hours ago and is in possession of his token.
