Your entire post is nothing considering that if we get to a point where ISL would become the main league that would only happen at least 2 years from now... they have plenty of time.
Also, MLS is not owned by the USSF. We're just sanctioned by the federation.
My point is that they do not have much profit in becoming Main league. If they are smart, then they should rather enjoy this unofficial status where they are not bounded by regulations. More profit this way then sanctions or guidelines of FIFA or AFC,
We have to understand that ISL teams are franchisees and not clubs. IMG-R owns the rights of teams. If tomorrow they find any franchise unfit, they can remove them and get a new one. The franchisees cannot exist outside of ISL. If they want to participate in any tournament other than ISL, they will have to take permission of IMG-R.
That is true. Obviously it is not impossible. The A-League teams are franchises and just had one of them win the Champions League. BCCI allows their franchises to play with others in the T20 CL.
I just want to see what an ISL-team hosted AFC Champions League match would look like. All that ISL stuff that is in the stadium would be removed, their would be no fireworks, the camera would probably only pan to the owner once throughout the match. It would be... interesting.
IS THIS REALLY A QUESTION!? All the players in the draft were with or played with I-League clubs while the guys listed here have not. I agree that there are gems in the Santosh Trophy and stuff but for now it is not hard to see logically why the Kerala players are not in the draft.

These are the criteria they must fulfill. Some of the criteria in here are higher than the original afc criteria.
