well pat of d blame is to be shared by AIFF_IMG.. should another club fold up in the comimg 2 seasons then what more would they want..just imagine if one by one..dempo or mumbai fc or Air India decide that enough is enough ..no more social service for indian football and decide to drop ala Mahinda and JCT and erstwhile viva kerala?.. what will be teh scenario for indian football..
When will the I-league even become 20% financially viable.. If a player like baichung cannot get funding , how do they expect new clubs to come up and make the league pan india..either you have to be a very rich foolish investor or be a corporate that is ready to do social service for indian football... Dempo Salgaocar CB are only running cause the owners and their father had a passion for the sport..what makes us think that their children will extend the same support?... that why we need clubs like USFC to succed at least break even financially but its at present only wishfull thinking.
IMG are such duffers that they can even put together a simple plan for marketing and broadcast..if Zee sports and AIFF could have done it at the start of d NFL , whats stopping IMG??
@Silicon3 I believe that Baichung is not that much problem, its Sikkim really. If Baichung were to sign with Dempo or East Bengal then it would be easy. Super-star at a super club but here he is at Sikkim which has not been proven yet and has a super-small population. If 30,000 come to a game then that is literally 1/4 of Gangtok. Its so risky. The only way for USFC to survive is to survive relegation and get 15,000 a game at least (constantly). If not then we could see some problems occur.

Weird Story. I wonder if United Sikkim knew anything about this. Also CONTRACTS IN NEPAL. Unheard of.
