What evidence ever came out that the AIFF is helping USFC? Yes there are suspicions but there was never any concrete evidence so just cut it out.
Honestly I think if the AIFF were really helping USFC then they would have been promoted in 2011 as back then USFC looked to be going in the perfect direction with the stadium looking good (pre-earthquake), the players being decent (mix of nationals with 2 of their foreigners being internationals), the sponsors were decent, and the logo and organization was looking good.
Look what happened after USFC got promoted in 2012, one year later. It went bad for them. Loss of sponsorships, loss of players, loss of a good looking stadium to a dirty piece of waste (my opinion of the Paljor Stadium to be honest), and loss in good organization has taken its toll on USFC. It was obvious that they were favorites for relegation.
Would the AIFF really help a team and make them relegation favorites before the season and now going into Round 18. No. USFC would be doing better than what they are doing right now. So just stop accusing the AIFF, Baichung, and USFC of being in a conspiracy. There is no evidence to prove so and if anything life has gotten worse for USFC and I doubt the AIFF, if they were helping USFC, would allow that.
DHARAN, Jan 23: Dharan Football Club, the organizer of Budhasubba Gold Cup, announced to host the 15th edition of the tournament from March 23 to 30 at the ANFA Technical Center in Dharan.
seems like USFC have released their CDM Michael Rodrigues as well....coach said in a interview that he has full squad at his disposal for game against arrows but rodrigues was not even on the bench.
Steven Hayes joins USFC in a last ditch effort to avoid relegation. But i can't understand why now??? they knew they had very little chance with the current squad and had to bring in some descent players..but they didn't, and now when it is almost certain relegation they spend on new signings...
@dhungel35 True, it does seem way to late but we all know that saying "Never late than never". And it is not that bad for United Sikkim. There have been many matches where they were dominating the match but just did not have the mental strength needed to see off the match. Shillong Lajong for example. You guys had the lead and gave it up. Same with Pailan Arrows. That is 5 points dropped and who knows, with those 5 points United Sikkim would be in 12th place. And if the club managed to hold on against Mumbai FC then they would be even better in 9th place.
Defense is the biggest weakness here and this Hayes guy could be the answer. Now if this is the guy that I think it is (Steven or Steve) then this guy should be a major signing for United Sikkim. Will he help Sikkim survive? I dont know but it is more possible now.
United Sikkim need 9 more points from 7 matches (21 points) to survive. The must wins for you guys are against ONGC (at home), Air India (at home), and Sporting Goa (at home). 9 points. These matches will not only improve your point tally but it will lower the above teams as well.

21 points will not ensure survival. Only Air India is 6 points away from that. Rest all are almost near 21.
