@indianFootballFan As you know there has been a lot of debate on ISL and I-league in this forum. Which is better? Whether one should be disbanded? Or should we merge the two leagues?
Whatever may be the issue the football league and quality of football in India should be comparable to the best in the world. I know it will take time but as we all know Indians are used to good quality football if we want to attract more spectators to stadiums in India. Not that I support more foreign players in a club but I hope more Indians come and play this beautiful game and take India to World Cup in future.
Out of topic, but I want add just one thing. I disagree with the idea of reducing the no. foreigners. If you want more Indians playing in the top division, increase the no. of clubs. The foreigners should be the benchmark for the Indians. And as far as the lack of Indian forwards is concerned, look at EPL. Guys like Danny Ings, Berahino, Harry Kane or for that matter, even Lambert came up from the lower divisions. They are never on top of the scorer list, but they get to compete with Agueros and Suarezs.
