Manandeep Singh is set to join Norwegian side Strommen IF on a three weeks trial starting this month. The striker who was supposed to leave for Norway back in January is set to leave on 5th July hoping to make this a permanent move.
"I was injured after the Indian Super League (ISL) and before moving to Norway I needed some match fitness so that I can perform well," he told.
"The deal was done in January but due to my injury I mailed the coach that I couldn't join and he allowed me to give my trials later,"he added.
Strommen IF is a first division side of Norway, currently coached by Espen Olssen.
"There are nine foreigners allowed in the squad, and the coach has told me that he is looking for a young energetic forward to add to his squad. I am hoping I can make this a permanent move," he concluded.
Singh is set to return to the ISL later this year.
i don't see Sanjoy Sen sticking with MB much longer especially with the way he is criticizing the officials. In his latest rant against the officials, he spoke out on the youth team issues and how the two team arrange the youth team players just before any tournament.
Yeah! Great news for him. Wish he can spend these 3 weeks without sustaining yet another injury. He is such prone to injuries that he even makes Walcott develop inferiority complex
The key thing is Manandeep is supposed to return for ISL. I think that will be a big obstacle in his selection. It would have been better that he decides about ISL after the trial results rather than having a pre-mindset.
