The reason of a certain disconnect between i-league and football fans in india is branding and promotion, rather lack of it. What img did good with isl was they created a certain buzz around it and with players like del piero joining in the first season, it was almost certain it will kick off from there. I -league needs better management and a selfish promoter who wants to reap profits from its work. Also places like kerala ,tamilnadu need more clubs in the league. I-league has potential but no one is interested . I sometimes feel aiff is waiting for a majority of i league clubs to shut shop and then they will go ahead and merge the isl clubs to make 1 league.
Let's keep it for sometime, good place to have some trolls. Anyways after this becomes a offcial announcement I would like to write an article on the whole episode. Can someone remind me who were the brains behind bharat FC player and staff recruitment,
Should we still blame the kalyani group? they put real money and recrited professsionals (not the best but still pros)....unfortunately they called the Aiff bluff very soon...and probably thts by design....u make ileague financial attractive with the advantage of it being the national league and clubs potentially going & playing in Asia, ISL dies a very fast death (along with the #IMG kickbacks to top honchos).
