@EastBengalPride the irony of Chirag Tanna being bought out by IMG-R isn't to be forgotten

The most vociferous member of IPFCA....

Then when Piramals considered tying up with FCPC they were all friends again...

And now he is chief bitch for IMG Reliance.

This is what happens when a fat rugby player who worked for a wildlife channel before PUNE FC is tasked with providing a road map for the future of Indian football

I often wonder that we Indians tend to show such careless attitudes to the most serious affairs and also that we surrender our collective say to a select and closed coterie who then hijack the whole thing to suit their end. It also helps that those we surrender our rights to are well aware of this trait of ours and samelessly manipulate things to achieve that. And we are quite happy with the lack of transparency and autocracy in our institutions.

So long the Officials who always think that it is their birthright to stick to the chair till death continue to get bank credit alert messages (not from legal earnings ofcourse), they are ready to act as "Gandharis". We the helpless poor fans only get irritated...fight amongst ourselves.....abuse each other & at the end of the day get nothing except tons of frustration.
Our high profile coach is reportedly scared of playing Laos. I'm expecting some one would immediately jump & ask me did I hear it myself......? My answer is "No". I only read it in a news paper. The great coach even cited the example of Leicester City saying that nobody expected them to win EPL......but the great man forgot to cite examples of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, PSG & our own BFC & Mohun Bagan. He being in Guwahati never thought it appropriate to take his players along with him to the Federation Cup Final.
So like it or not...... we are to live with these born rascals......be it AIFF...IMG-R.....National Coach whosoever it is.

Steven Constantine said that in the press conference, reported by several newspapers, so true. Even if if we apportion some amount of his concerns to courtesy to the opponents, our concern remains.

Fact is, we cannot blame him squarely for non-performance of the NT. All along, he was advocating loner camps and PIOs (for short term benefits though). I think countries having a structured football calendar can afford to have short camps, not a country who have the same set of players hopping around in 3 or 4 leagues within the country. We need to keep the players to shield them from burnouts, and to get into a collective rhythm.

But yes, we don't need him for what he is delivering. Sanjoy Sen, Derrick Perriera or Thangboi Singto can do the same, for a much lesser price. Until we get our acts together.

@Deb_Ban Agreed.....but the facts remains why we are allowing our players from hopping from one league to another ? Why we are not releasing players for longer camps for important International commitments like WCQ during Oct-Dec ? But we can suspend I-League for 18 days in March for the same purpose. Bottomline is when strings are pulled by some one else whose sole intention is just to make quick money for a certain period of time by fooling around & talking big like vision....dream....etc. etc....... everyone has to dance if he wants to have a piece of the cake. Rest like Football Development.... NT Performance...Youth Development....Mission 2020.....Vision 3000 all are just eye wash.

But why are they blaming it on Super Cup? Even if we remove Super Cup, ISL season, on its own, will stretch to March. There main concern is on releasing Foreign players by January transfer Window and they cannot do it if season extends beyond that. This is affecting their Business Model of short everyday match league. They are right in raising their concern that they did not sign up for this new pattern. If January transfer Window is not there, many Foreign players will not find ISL attractive - Just Retired types and those who are coming from injuries and looking for beter leagues also.
