2015 CFL had higher trp (EB MB MSC matches) than 2016 ISL matches. Both had Star network broadcast. Star wants EB MB in, they have been asking to get that big derby match in. As a product, ISL right now, is at a tip off point. Get the emotion in through EB MB else they have almost had it.
Again, I want to see sources on that. I've only read one paper say that and it was clearly biased and against the ISL and cited no numbers, basically making it up.
Also we already know ratings would take a hit in season 3 and with a game every day and not everyone will watch every game especially if "their" team is not playing.
The article I read literally had the writer make fun of the ISL vehemently while making claims without any proper stats to back them up... you expect me not to call bias?
Just three for starter (in 2 minutes of net searching). You can do better than me. But then, as you said, ALL the media houses are biased and are up against ISL for some reason or other. We should believe the figures dished out by the angels at IMG-R.
The first article is the only one which actually has any numbers and which didn't have an opinion (bias) and honestly those numbers are not bad and were positive besides for when the ISL clashed with India cricket which, lets be honest, is a given.
The second is that shitty article that was written this summer which even made massive blunders in its writing about the A-League... why would I even glance at that garbage again?
The third article talks just references the first week of the very first season which obviously will have a massive impact compared to everything else that comes afterwards and then Atletico de Kolkata's attendance despite them moving from the 65,000 capacity Salt Lake Stadium to the around 12,000 Rabindra (which the writer said was 26,000).
even the IPL had lost viewer ship compared to its early years its a much bigger brand now and its TV rights value has become huge its very early to right off ISL
and for merger lets wait to get a clear image of it

though ISL trp took a hit the rural view increased this season
No you don't have to. You have to take your ears to the press reports emerging in the media.
But hold it. You have already labelled 'every other' report as biased.
