You won't get a ban for not allowing promotion

Agree they are dumb as fuck...BUT don't confuse rage with Rule

What's the benchmark for financial stability ?  15/20/25/50 Cr ?
Just like students with merit not getting admissions & wards of rich parents getting on money only.
Indian Football is on right path surely.

In 6 to 7 years we will be back to square 1

Wondering why we are still 150 in the world...

We revamped the League to make NFL..we revamped that for I-League....then we make an ISL

But meanwhile... no grounds... no stadiums..no youth league...no reserve league..

Just Grassroots Festivals...foreign exposure trips...and cricketers and actors giving soundbites.

I've been too closely involved to know how fuckin screwed up the current situation is

150 in 6-7 years ?? No mate.....we will try to achieve 175 mark.
Why not officials should also show Financial Strength from their pocket to hold the Posts of President, Secretary, CEO of AIFF ? They must show the way. Otherwise they should be demoted to Doormen & Teaboys in AIFF office.

    1) But even in this new model, I do not see any of these ISL Teams competing in AFC Cup or Qualifiers of ACL. They consist of oldies assembled in Hotels for 3 months for everyday matches and to save money everybody disapeear before January Transfer Window.

    2) AFC / FIFA also has Financial regulations to see before they recognise these clubs. Get recognised first before dictating terms to other clubs.

    3) Multiple clubs owned by same businessman (thru Family members, Actors) who also run and control the league. How will FIFA see this? Talk about conflict of interest.

    4) What is the purpose of this exercise? 3 Tiers exist even now. ISL is there, I-League is there and I-League 2nd Division is there. Even after so called merger of 3 tiers, ISL clubs will not participate in AFC Cup nor can they clear AFC FIFA regulations. Let them exist separately then. Let them run the Family owned unrecognised league of oldies.

    5) The image of IPL in Cricket has been tarred because of match fixing or Financial irregularities. Will FIFA allow any potential controversy with similar faces in Football too? Most of these ISL stakeholders are involved in IPL also.

Agreed, these rascals will learn the hard way. Because of their greed & craze for money they will put back Indian Football by several years. Some will immediately jump on to say "what is achieved through NFL / I-League" ? Yes.... not much but if you have Officials like what we are having for decades.....it is impossible to move forward especially with the 3 idiots plus IMG-R.... who only understands Money. Yes Money is a Must but where is the Blue Print which gives you confidence that something positive will take place in X years ? The merger plan is conceived because of the kick on the back by AFC.......

    Interesting....nothing new....
No clarity yet on League calendar and how the games will work.

Biggest carrot that has been dangled Is the new Super Cup...
All teams will be allowed to take part...with winner and runner up going to AFC competition...

Games will eventually be weekend only...but not anytime soon
