    that is among one of the reasons I am saying to hold the tournament every 4 years

    Holding Santosh trophy every 4 years doznt make sense at all for the following reasons
    1. Only coveted and highly regarded tourneys are held biennially or quadrennially like World cups and champions trophy cricket. If we space out santosh dat long nobody wud even remember it exists

    Santosh trophy has the potential to change the way football is projected in the country provided it is marketed properly. Now-a-days a lot of football academies are coming up in different states which plays a major role in developing the football level of that state. Except the Kolkata matches in the i league there is not much crowd attendance. I remember the semi-final match in 2009 in Chennai where the host were playing, the only international standard stadium in India was almost full. And for all the matches involving the host there were huge crowd. My point is conduct the preliminary matches at one particular location & for final 8 teams conduct matches with home & away format on points & the final be played with the top two teams. As far as player fatigue is concerned please read my earlier post.

    Who will win this year?

    Its always been either WB, Goa or Services unless some miracle.
    Santosh trophy is not telecast as whole ever. Onbly the quarters and semis are telecast. So probably IMG will rope in some local channel, if at all they are involved
