Vasco lost 1-2 to Lajong (as per AIFF site) <!-- s:evil: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_evil.gif" alt=":evil:" title="Evil or Very Mad" /><!-- s:evil: -->
I have lost trust from the AIFF site so I double checked the result in other websites and it looks like the results are true
Vasco were reduced to
ten men when goalkeeper
Milagrio Medeira was flashed the
red card for handling the ball
outside the 18 yard boxin the 65th minute & that was the main factor which contributed in their defeat against Lajong yesterday.

I consider Vasco SC as the greatest club of Goa.It does not matter to me if they failed to qualify for i-league div1 mainly because of the double-standards of AIFF. I primarily blame the state of affairs of Vasco SC on the officials of Vasco club. They have prepared the team focusing on the level of quality w.r.t. Indian football. I firmly believe Vasco SC has the ability to develop itself to a top club in AFC circuit. Maybe the officials of the club has forgotten the sacrifices made by the yesteryears heroes of the club whose motto was to win against all odds.Vasco club enjoys the maximum support of Goans but still are unable to play in the premier Indian division. If some aphrodisiac company can dream of winning the WC 2018 for India in Russia then why cant my most favourite club dream of becoming one of the top 10 clubs in Asia.

Vasco SC have made no secret of
their desire to be promoted to
the I-League given that Shillong
Lajong had fielded an ‘ineligible’
player in the form of Seikhohao
Tuboi.
Though Shillong Lajong believe
otherwise and have their own
side to the saga, Vinod Parkhot,
president of the Vasco SC, has
stated that action must be taken
against the club from the north
east as they violated the league’s
regulations.
“Yes, we deserve to be in the I-
League next season as Shillong
Lajong fielded an ineligible
player for four matches. As per
the rules, we should have
finished number two behind
Sporting Clube De Goa.
“AIFF has to take an action
against Lajong. Each team has
put in efforts to come up to the
I-League and no side can take an
undue advantage, ” said Parkhot.
With Lajong claiming them not
being aware of Army XI playing
in the Kolkata League and
pointing the finger towards the
Indian Football Association, the
board of control for football in
West Bengal, Vasco SC is in mood
to buy that argument.
“Knowingly or unknowingly,
Lajong had an advantage and
the rule doesn ’t state that one is
guilty only when one purposely
violates the regulations.
“AIFF must take a stand and can’t
deal with it on a case-to-case
basis. I have been hearing that
there are efforts to promote
football in the north east. But
whether Goa or north east, the
regulations are to be followed
and there mustn’t be any
leniency in this regard
whatsoever, ” added Parkhot.
Vasco SC had submitted their
letter of protest against Lajong
almost a week back and are yet
to get an official word from the
AIFF.
MY SAY: HOPE Lajong ACHIEVE GREAT SUCCESS & WIN THE I-LEAGUE NEXT SEASON AS THIS IS A KALI-YUGA ERA & IN THIS ERA ONLY CHEATERS & THEIR KIND ACHIEVE GREAT SUCCESS.
The All India Football Federation
(AIFF) is still examining the
Seikhohao Tuboi case wherein
the player was suspended
midway through the I-League
Second Division from playing for
Shillong Lajong.
The player in question was
registered at least with two State
associations simultaneously
which was a clear disregard to
the league ’s regulation which
states, “Only players who are
first registered with the
respective State association for
the 2010-11 season are eligible
to take part in the League. ”
While the AIFF immediately
suspended Tuboi from anymore
participation in the Second
Division League, no action was
taken against Shillong Lajong
which apparently goes against
the regulations once again which
mentions that the club must be
immediately “scrapped off from
the competition.”
Last evening, the Confederation
for African Football (CAF)
disqualified reigning champions
TP Mazembe, who reached the
finals of the Club World Cup, from
participating in the Champions
League after being guilty of
fielding an ineligible player in the
form of Janvier Besala Bokungu.
AIFF general secretary, Kushal
Das affirmed that Tuboi was
indeed ‘ineligible’ and mentioned
that the guilty parties wouldn’t
go scot-free. In that case Vasco
Club would stand to benefit and
earn a passage to the main I-
League.
“ The Player Status Committee,
which reviewed the complaints
confirmed that there is clear
evidence that the player
(Seikhohao Tuboi) is ineligible to
play and therefore should be
suspended from further
participation till the conclusion of
the investigation which is being
carried out. ”
“The Committee also decided that
based on the investigation
action may be taken against the
club as well as the local
associations, ” informed Das.
Article IV of the Second Division
I-League regulations, point 3
states, “Any team refusing to
play or does not turn up for the
match at the scheduled time or
refuses to start or complete a
match or fields an ineligible
player shall be scratched from
the competition. ”
Vinod Parkhot, president of the

Vasco SC held a meeting with the
Goa Football Association (GFA)
executive secretary Alberto
Colaco on Tuesday afternoon
and whereby it was agreed that
the club ’s appeal will be sent to
the All India Football Federation
(AIFF).
