It is not a bad result considering the fact we were reduced to 10 players with more than 30 mins of play left.
Secondly i don't understand why there is so much fuzz about the physical difference. Our lads were physically inferior to South Korea itself and against the Nordic boys its always going to be David vs Goliath. To be frank when the majority of the players you scouted hails from among the most impoverished region of country physicality would always be a problem. If only aiff were proactive rather than reactive they should have implemented global scouting plan years ago then this problem could have been addressed.
As it is its almost certain that the teams at world cup will have majority of the possession. Our progress in the cup will be entirely on finishing the odd chances we get. Hope the newly recruited boys rise to the occasion.
This was clearly a highlight put together to show the Norway attacks, probably by the Norway team's management. You will see highlights like these in youth team matches at U21 levels by LiverpoolTV highlighting Liverpool's chances and ignoring the oppositions good work off and on the ball, ChelseaTV etc.
As for what the Norwegian coach said about India being a "fun opponent", I am sure that is a translation barrier, and you guys are reading way too much into it. Physically, no doubt the Norwegian players were superior, and I still think this was a good experience for them.
We need to play more friendlies against sides at a similar level.
The highlights were uploaded by the same guy who uploaded the other matches India has had during this tour and the other highlights showed plenty of India attacks.
It certainly is not a waste of time or money to play in Europe. We should play as many varied type of opposition as we can at this time to understand how to play against them. It will not only be an exercise for the the players, but also for the coaching staff to learn how to setup and play against teams such as Norway, Luxembourg, USA or against good academy teams like Metz, Red Bull Salzburg and Villareal.
