  • Subrata will not be a starter at the 3rd Division (much better than I-League).

  • subrata pal should look at South Korea clubs. He became famous there after his exploits against Korean Team at Asia Cup.<br>

<br><div><br></div><div>I don't know. Even the Korean 2nd Division might be a stretch for him. </div><div><br></div><div>To be honest it is hard to decide where he should go because he is not really good to begin with. Watch the AFC Asian Cup highlights again, you can blame the defense all you want for all 13 goals given up but Subrata should have also done a lot better with most of them and his performance in I-League is still less than impressive.</div><div><br></div><div>Again, I would like to see him stick it out for one more year and then if he does well then go out. Don't leave without establishing yourself to be something other than an over-hyped goalkeeper.</div>

I agree with you with the fact that it will be hard for him but again i would say Football like any other sport is about confidence. It is not impossible and i personally feel he just needs a couple of good games  and knowing whats at stake he surely can establish a place for himself however it wouldn't be easy but he needs to get selected first.;)<br><br>Regarding the Korean League , i think i saw somewhere that Korean clubs can't recruit a foreign goalkeeper(certainly at that time it was there) not sure of the present.<br><br>Surely if the likes of Titus Bramable can play in EPL for a period of 10 yrs than Subrata(hopefully can make it).It seems,he is now clear about the fact that he wants to play in Europe so lets ee what happens.<br><br>

<br><div><br></div><div>I did not see the full matches of any of our matches (if anyone has any of the matches via youtube link or anything please let me know) so I can't say much for Sunil but for Subrata, he made many great saves and he deserves praise but the goals were a bit to easy to give away to. I remember many times in the highlights that he could not complete a simple punch from a cross or corner.</div>

<br><div><br></div><div>I will agree with that. When the stakes are high you can tell he is confident and he does look better that way.</div>

See,as for me there were only two players in India's Asia Cup squad of 2011 who looked like competing(i am not seeing challenging)with the likes of Korea,Aus,Bahrain were Sunil and Subrata with Rennedy being ok at times but didn't get that limelight because of his age maybe.<br><br>Now,this was not only seen by me but all stated by the different Football Pundits at that time. They said these two would be India's best bet of playing in Europe but won't take Europe by storm which i fully agreed with.So basically they were referring to a 2nd div club of Belgium,Holland,Denmark etc or 3rd div clubs of likes of Italy,England.<br><br>So this has been the reality if you ask me.Another thing is that we also knew that these always looked apart from others even before the Tournament i.e these two has already recd trials offers and gaining scouting interests from different clubs even before the ASIA CUP.So this tournament , if you ask me was an icing on the cake with respect to their level.<br><br>Chhetri-Trials from Coventry city, interested clubs(Celtic,Benfica,Racing Santander,Leeds United etc)<br><br>Subrata Paul-Trials from Vancouver, interested clubs(lyon, blackburn and many korean and jordanian clubs)<br><br>Some of this were just rumours but still there was some truth in this as well.<br><br>So this was before or around that time so this proves that they atleast COMPETE if not CHALLENGE atleast in lower divisions in Decent European leagues.<br>
