After this hole-sale changes CB's expenditure for the season must be the highest among I-league clubs.
Dont worry. Nobody can beat EB in this aspect. Where is the comparison. CB has a bench in which nobody must be above 30 lakhs. But EB have all bench players and some even outside for 50 lakhs and above.

why would club sign high profile players and bench him
if all four players were allowed to play together things could have been different
even now Singapore league have allowed to sign 5 overseas players
That is not it at all. Far from the point. Especially when better players are coming in. I dont think Churchill Brothers did not sign Van Den Brink because of the foreign quota rule. I dont think Dempo released Ricketts because of the rule (nor do they complete it). Carlos Hernandez was brought in despite the rule.
Clubs are reluctant due to money and the fact that most of the good players will now come in and think India is a good final payday. Nothing to do with the foreign quota.
Now I know how Sunil landed at Churchill. Alemao' good friend and players agent Raul Fernandes (also Chetri's manager) helped make the deal.
Alemao has said that Akram was allowed to leave as he was homesick especially after he's buddy left. As per him it was turning out to be very difficult to ask Akram to stay on.

Lamine Tamba is from Senegal.
Ok then!

I dont think so. Tamba was without a club and chetri was not playing either. So they cant demand much

too much money is being paid to these players and what is the end result???? Even the Brazilians in the gulf league must not be getting paid so much.
