Selective amnesia again! You deliberately miss out Mendy, French international and former PSG player. Dong was the youngest foreign player to play in the A-league. Remember the fanfare with which you signed Tolgay, and the loss of face thereafter...You tried to sign Ranti, who would not oblige you because of irregular payment at your club, Mr. soclover ...as I said, grapes are sour
Aah! U r good at storytelling! 1. Bagan never tried for Ranti and instead were always goin for Norde( Bhowmick has never been in favour of oldies - hence Odafa got the boot and he would't have replaced one Sr. Citizen with the other, and he didn't) 2. Ask your own EB loyalists - what% of them were gung-ho abt Mendy (fact is none - b'cos he played pathetically in ISL2 and he was aged - both turned out to be true end of the season). 3. Tolgay - Yes lot of fanfare - hence in my earlier post see the transition from Tolgay to Bidemi (where did Tolgay figure in the chain)
Same question....although I would like to pint out to lol that in spite of playing 'khep' players we manage to win derbys...the Copa player has not manged to score a single time in the derbys...On the other hand, Ranti, Dong, the least said the better...facts (and not stories) tell for themselves
And in context of khep players, most of the u-19 players from both KEB and MMB play khep. Moreover, even some of the senior players have made their way through, playing kheps. So yes, kheps are a important part of our Bengali football, though it has also killed many a promising career. Don't know if you guys remember Sonu Kumar. Used to play for MMB juniors. Seen him and Jiten Murmu play together in a khep match. Sonu was miles ahead of Jiten in terms of speed, shot power and turning. And now, Sonu is without a team. But you can find him in Taltala ground, practicing hard, sharpening himself for upcoming khep matches.

Mohammedan would be a far better opponent IMO.
