• Exactly the point I am trying to prove.

I would take this stadium now before it turns into a hockey stadium or Elite Shitball League of India stadium.
it cant be taken by hockey at least as there is already a good hockey stadium in jharkhand and also hockey is played in astro turfs not on grass in recent days...but cant say about EFLI though

Exactly and the ESLI is already in so much distress considering they only have one stadium and that they already had to relocate a team (Goa to Chennai) so they will take whatever stadium they can find and the one in Jharkhand is perfect.

These are the things Siddharth Bhattacharya (Nabab Bhattacharya) has to say about Prayag United relocation proposals (within WB itself) -
The City's are crowded with politicians and believe me or not I/we have not received any approach till today from any of the cities...
Unless or until any authority (like Municipality or Corporation) gives us a proposal it's really difficult.. In my opinion relocation is not that tough, it will increase budget and revenue both...
Difficulties in every step, since we started from fifth division, even when sponsors left us (both Chirag and Officer's Choice), but ready to take challenges.. But need proposals from some city...

TATA has rights to the 2 of the best stadiums in India at Jamshedpur : Keenan Stadium(although mainly used for Cricket, local football matches are played here and TFA plays most of their JSA super division matches here) & JRD TATA Sports Complex and both have lush green outfield. Transport might be problem for the teams but they will have fan base for sure if they choose to relocate here. But I don't think TATA is going to give it any club.

I dont know why Prayag is waiting for a proposal from a city. For God's sake one needs to express their intentions, in this case apply formally, to make people think of giving/not iving an offer. I don't think waiting for others to do that suo oto is the right choice
• Why wait for a city to come to you? That is stupid. Come on Prayag United! Get your negotiating skills and put them into good use. Prayag should negotiate with a city. Show the leaders of that city and state that they mean business. Also its not hard to decide a city to negotiate with, you got

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
Jamshedpur, Jharkhand
Ranchi, Jharkhand
Prayag, Uttar Pradesh

Have practical targets. Why would United SC leave West Bengal!!!! Not gonna happen (should not happen). Only can happen to WB cities. According to I League norms the cities need to be within 200 kms from airport.

I think Siliguri is a good choice. Has football culture, has a stadium and connects well with north east states.

No direct answer was given by him on this regard. I think after ages of establishment its a painful decision to relocate, as if they are running away. And these ancient football clubs are so much attached to kolkata football, maidan culture etc that breaking ties are not trivial decisions. Maybe with time they will do the right thing

Seriously when I hear this I just want to give up with Indian Football. Jharkhand is so close to West Bengal. What is the problem with that. They will get support, a great stadium, a good training complex, government help... EVERYTHING!

Thank you! This is not bloody England where you can move your club anywhere and expect success. This is India, a big country with a guge population and when a good city is available with good infrastructure and good government with no sports team you take advantage of it. You dont let other leagues get there first.
