If only they had applied same for all senior competitions too. Changing format of ACL and AFC Cup similar to Champions League and europa league will do much better for football in developing nations .
It seems Russia want to shift to AFC after getting banned from UEFA. Though this move will also be blocked at some point, I think this will be interesting for AFC.This sure will turn AFC on its head. Just think of Russia competing for WC from against Asian countries or their clubs competing in ACL!

No need to join AFC. Lol I always think What if India was geographically located in Europe so that we get to play so many meaningful competitive games throughout the years.
India would have been the only genetically inferior country in Europe
that's true but we get to play so many Euro and WC qualifiers mandatorily without having to play any friendlies. Just think about playing England,Germany,France,Portugal,Spain etc every now and then. That itself a very big dream.

genetically, and culture wise they are different. They consider themselves as proud white race. So them being Asian would lead to further clashes. It doesn't sound good. Also it is a downgrade stuff. Even Turkey/Israel also playing in Europe and are competitive enough.
