Sikkim by S Ray was made not made only to let people know that Sikkim exists, rather to show they are distinctly different and deserve to remain independent. It was commissioned by the Chogyal of Sikkim himself. I hope all of you know how Sikkim joined India.
@Nagendra had asked for a biopic of Satyajit Ray. I am not aware of any biopic on Ray. However, those who are not too aware of Ray and his films can go through the following two articles. They are extremely detailed and cover almost every aspect of his life and his creations, both cinematic and literary
1. Remembering Satyajit Ray, India’s most renowned filmmaker
There is an archive on Satyajit Ray, satyajitray.org which contains, among other things, a biography of Ray along with discussion of his films, his technique of filmmaking, books and videos of Ray and critics commenting on Ray's works.
Most of us are aware of the literary works of Ray, the most popular being Feluda the detective and Professor Shanku the scientist as well as his various forays into the genres of humour, macabre and the supernatural. However, he had also penned an anthology of film criticism titled Our Films, Their Films discussing Indian films in the first section and international films and filmmakers in the second section. The first chapter, What's wrong with Indian Films?, actually an article first published in The Statesman in 1948, remains as relevant today as it was almost 70 years ago. I teach this chapter as part of a course Literature and Film to my students at college

A very good Bengali film from the 90s. Although mainly aimed at children, it is enjoyable for all.
