Timor-Leste, previously known as east Timor, is a newly formed country out of Indonesia and its FIFA ranking is 192. So if Indian youngsters lose to Timor, then thats not a good news.
Now what will AIFF post on their website ??? They scored against run d play and the brave Indian boys were unlucky to score. Gautam ghosh will say we are on process of learing(wonder when will they actually learn and deliver).
I don't want to be rude here but what type of training should Kalyani AIFF boys be imparted so that they are not humiliated by lesser known teams in future? This is a wastage of youth and money. Coach Goutam Ghosh saying it is a learning process is not an excuse. Something is wrong because I think those players from Timor-Leste are also learning from the beginning. It is time AIFF should wake up. Perform or Perish.
This is a disappointing result but whatever, this whole AFC U-16 Champions Cup has been rubbish anyway.
Only thing we can do now is go back and have the coaches and technical director look at how they do play selection, how they train the boys, how they nutrition them, and who they play against because what they are doing now does not work at all.
Right now we will have a new U14 batch move up to the U16 level... once that happens we will by then need a brand new system to put them through so we do not repeat this tournament performance.
The only good thing we can take from this is that the majority of these players will probably never play for India at senior level.
