@karenesudhakar2050 mostly developing Football Federation offers Senior and U-23 to the same person; then if Senior coach decides/inform then they select different coach; next assignment for them will be Asian Games/2022 AFC qualifiers only which are 2 years away from now.
So i dont think they will appoint any coach for U-23 team
The NT coach drama gets more and more interesting, now ex-France coach Raymond Domenech joins the list of those who have applied for the job and the list of candidates is now revealed to be more than 200, according to this report!
Stephen Constantine must have mentioned somewhere how he was enjoying his holidays in India..And all these coaches came to know about this..Given that India is going to play only few matches every year, India NT coach can enjoy a heavenly relaxing life. Thats how India NT coaching job got the status of a government job.
all these coaches must realise even if NT job is like vacation , it wont add much weightage unless India does something remarkable(practically SC never got better offers except for may be US)
A bunch of talentless players, any coach will a pro license will do. I mean we can't really do much apart from defend defend defend and try to hit on counters against decent Asian teams.
"Indians and Indian football is a big time joke. I've honestly stopped taking them seriously. No questions as to why India is still a sub-par nation who's impact on the world is minimal. Indians don't strive for excellence. They're content with their "chalta hai attitude". And this attitude permeates through every inch of life in this country. Right from the government to the business houses. How many noble laurets have we produced? How many cutting edge products have we given to the world? Our research output is abysmal. Our governance a joke."
This is what each one of you might be thinking. But, please don't forget the context of our country. We cannot expect to compete with the best in any arena unless we build our fundamentals right. If your expectations from life are excellence and cutting edge things, then either start building towards them by being an entrepreneur or move out to a developed country. This country is not for you. The choice is yours. There is no right or wrong. It's all about the perspective.
Eelco Schattorie seems to be the only coach who can take a team with meagre minumum skills and make it a winning one. He seems to be very passionate , proud of his job and motivates the team well. He now knows the Talented Indian players and hence will be a good choice. He is highly rated by Avram Grant,
He can take our team with meagre talents to a good level in Asia against big countries. He may not satisfy AIFF national team coach criteria nor does have the bfc lobby for the job, but atleast he will fit in their budget, plays attractive football and can help us win few games in WC qualifiers.

Coach hunt: AIFF is not keen on big names
https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/football/top-stories/coach-hunt-aiff-is-not-keen-on-big-names/articleshow/68715906.cmsAt last count, there were 264 with many of them "applying for fun."
"Some are coaching school teams at the moment and believe they can coach the national team," said the official.
Biggest LOL moment in the drama...made my day!!
