@ArsenalFan700 ; I may or may not agree with the "insightful" comment but I give it when somebody tries hard to put forward his views and provide good arguments or atleast provide points for his perceptive. My insightful are for both sides of the aisle. When I fully agree, I give "Like" comment. Every voice needs to be heard and appreciated when required.
Just 2 cents on the TRP. Any new thing they try on TV the TRP is always going to higher in season 1 and then drops and then either slightly increases or stagnates.
Comparing season 1 against any other season is not the right baromater.
Why is @lokeshchandaindia is so fixated on A league ? If A league is a failed product, how come there are plans of further expansion of an already failed product? FFA is looking to incorporate teams from Cairns, Gold Coast, Ipswich, ..,most importantly South Sydney and Wollongong. Why are investors crawling into a market that you think is in red ? Why is Optus planning to outbid fox to get the new tv rights for A league ? You really dont seem to follow what's happening inside and simply making superficial comparisons.
You can't expect ISL to make profits straight from the start, hell even IPL failed to make profits for more than 5 years in a cricket crazy nation.
So, who buys a football club? Sir John Madejski, the current chairman of Reading Football Club, describes the ideal football club owner as having deep pockets, mercurial, and not faint-hearted.

Btw ISL trp is still high enough.
And FYI among the top 5 football leagues 3 are loss making( barring 2-3 clubs) : La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1.

Even the premier league was loss making venture till 2010. With almost 16 clubs making massive losses. Championship clubs are in even deeper shit. The PL finacnes improved after better TV deals.

The buying of a football club is unlikely to yield much of a return. This is happening everywhere.
