hmm gr8..ok thanks man for the valuable info
  • Why open it this season. I would like for them to open it with a match between Mumbai FC and Air India FC in a friendly right before the I-League. A proper opening. The Mumbai Derby.

according to some media reports WIFA is likely to open the stadium in next season though as @somesh told they are trying to get 1-2 matches of this season as well....

but i would want them to open the cooperage with the return of rovers cup with the foreign club spot being filled by one of top european clubs , may be their reserve team, like the bayern reserves participated in ifa shield few years back.... with their first match being against a top mumbai side
as this would mean most of football fans in mumbai come to know about the stadium as well which shall help mumbai fc and air india also getting good crowd support as well during their

Seems like a good idea. Gets Mumbai and also (sadly) Air India some good crowds. Gets the kids to go to the game. And would be a pre-season cup. Also maybe Pune FC can join in to being the 3rd Maha team. Good way to open the ground. Give it a proper opening.

Games is generally for U-23 Teams so I doubt Brazil FA will send its senior team and same with any other team like Zambia,Angloa or Portugal.
