@munna219777 : JLN Delhi ain't cheap brother. It was re-constructed at Rs. 960 crores. That's a huge sum of money. Obviously, a lot of corruption is involved. But, my guess is that with all the corruption even in place, the stadium would have at least costed the government 550-600 crores. Look at the stadium. And building from scratch is always cheaper. Just look how JLN has transformed. From what to what. That's still a lot of money though( 500 crores)
"While KSFA will be the sole owners of the stadium, Ozone Group will be allowed to recover the costs through revenue generated by building commercial establishments within the stadium. Ozone Group will also get to use the stadium for 100 days every year."
That was a snippet from the article. Khaleel might well could have asked to build a mall & multi storey car park.
Lets assume that Ozone group might have recovered & made a profit as stipulated in the agreements & handover 100% control to Karnataka FA(which i don't see any parties acknowledging) then what happens to this so called commercial establishments in the stadium?
It must be a Greenfield model arrangement of a Design, Build, Operate, Transfer. Ozone could possibly operate the stadium for 15-20 years and then hand it over to KSFA.
It's made of brick and mortar and now it needs a name. The Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) has decided to name the football VIP area of the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium at Kaloor after former chief minister K Karunakaran.
