Man I hope BFC try to bid for ISL 3. I want BFC lead by JSW anytime. No Ozone group and all. It will be devastating.

@gaffertape, So 2 new franchisees next season?

BFC should outbid Ozone group for the franchisee or maybe even go for a partnership which would be better with even more financial power.

A partnership is the only thing I can see happening. JSW Group could not even outbid Ozone Group for the stadium deal, how do we expect them to win out for an ISL team?

One thing JSW Group have that could be used as leverage is Bengaluru FC, an established team in the city that has captured the hearts of the hardcore football fans in Bangalore. BFC also have established facilities within the city and outside of it and youth development that is only going to expand. They have sponsorships with Puma and apps that are available on android etc... they are a well, super established football brand and perhaps JSW could use that in a partnership but that could mean JSW lose some control.

Another site can be found if JSW really need a stadium (which I don't think is urgent)....why dilute such a good brand just to use a ground? Bangalore is not yet ready for 2 teams, so don't see any sense in ozone bidding for ISL.

What? There are many reasons Ozone Group can make an ISL team and Bengaluru FC currently being in the I-League won't stop them. Bengaluru FC would be impacted by the ISL team, not the other way around. You would have your BFC fans who would support both BFC and the ISL team as both seasons don't overlap and the other fans who did not support BFC go an support the ISL side and thus the ISL side would take over as the #1 side in the city.

As for the stadium. The Bangalore Football Stadium spot is literally the prime spot... like, JSW needed to win that bid. No where else will compare now and there is no point to even look honestly as whatever JSW do will probably be second fiddle and won't make financial sense. The BF Stadium is in an area which is close to/in a football hotbed of the city and Ozone Group have plans to add other things around the stadium. The KSFA affiliation will also allow the stadium to be used during times Ozone Group don't need it and for other events as well.

JSW Group can go and spend money on a stadium but where would compare to where the BF Stadium is and also, what events will occur there during the over 340 days they are not using it.

    1) It will take many years for Ozone Group to build stadium. This is delusional to say that Ozone Group will construct a new stadium and make a new ISL Franchise to play in the new stadium by 2016.

    2) I dont think that IMG-R wants to kill Bengaluru FC. Look how BFC is doing business with ISL in supplyling and taking commission on players. You dont do business with enemies. They are all together.

I doubt more teams would be added in ISL for next few years. Already all the franchises are in loss running into crores. IMGR would want the league to settle for a few year and after that may invite bids for new franchises.

Aizawl FC would be playing their home games atbRajiv GandhibStadium, Malpuai and not at Lammual Stadium. Itbis still under construction and the Mizoram FA and Govt. have assured its completion before I League. Does anyone on IFN has any recent photograph of the stadium?
