Also Air India headquarters are shifting to Delhi. So they will easily shift their base to delhi and so will ONGC. Mumbai FC will shut down their shop. I feel pity for clubs like Dodsal SC.

Well ONGC and Air India will be relegated so who cares
Anyway Mumbai FC is the real worry. Dodsal will somehow do something and if that means leaving Mumbai then they will do it. There are other places which need a team... Chennai? Hyderabad?
Well will the U17 World Cup help? The officials must know how much money a U17 World Cup can make, right? And FIFA wont accept the DY Patil Stadium.
They will skip Mumbai I think. Bangalore will be a better option.

Can they get the Bangalore Football Stadium suitable. There are still many things wrong with it. No seating first of all and the corners are messed up. Its still far off from a World Cup U17. Perhaps that other stadium they have.
Eitherway... Mumbai FC will need to relocate then.

Mumbai never organised any high profile sports event like National Games, SAF games, Asiad, Commonwealth etc. Besides Cricket for which they have excellent stadiums, They organised World Cup Hockey in 1982 which was played in cricket stadiums of Wankhede-not possible now. Now Pune has Balewadi complex which was built for National Games and Commonwealth youth games. Delhi, Hyderabad (Afro Asian Games), Bangalore, Chennai, Calcutta, Guwahati have all organised multisports events and they have atleast good atheletics stadium. Football can be played in good atheletics stadium and also in football stadium, Mumbai is the only big city in India which has none.
And it needs one. Why not Navi Mumbai. The stadium does not have to be in Mumbai. In America we usually put our stadiums outside of the city. My New York Red Bulls play outside of the city and state in Harrison, New Jersey. The Los Angeles Galaxy play in Carson, California. FC Dallas play in Fresno and that is the same distance as Mumbai to Navi Mumbai.
dy patil stadium is a good alternative.....as it is only used for local cricket matches......it is the best stadium in India in terms of modern facilities......the only thing they demand is a high rent (rs 15 lakhs per game) which is out of reach for most clubs here

They organised world cup qualifying matches in this stadium where India defeated UAE.
But I guess they will go with their own football stadium.
