But its to big. This is Mumbai we are talking about and I doubt even Dodsal can fill half the stadium up. Its a great stadium... excellent quality but not right for I-League football.
and FIFA gave grant also for artificial turf. I think Mumbai High Court gave decision in favour of WIFA but the local residents(builder lobby) went to Supreme Court. Also local Municipal Commission BMC appointed heritage committee. I hope they are able to get some land in New Bombay area and build some stadium from scratch.

That could be better. We should also consider here that the land the Cooperage was on was way to small so building a new modern stadium from scratch would be best.
I am also hoping that maybe they would have a plan as well. Start with an easy 5,000 seater stadium but with a set-plan for expansion... something like this (look at the end of the article where the slideshow is):
Well ONGC and Air India will be relegated so who cares
Anyway Mumbai FC is the real worry. Dodsal will somehow do something and if that means leaving Mumbai then they will do it. There are other places which need a team... Chennai? Hyderabad?
Air India, ONGC are PSUs and by rule book, they have to support sports. So many Banks, Oil compnaies not only have football team but also hockey teams. Hopefully they will be relegated and two non-PSU teams will qualify next year. Dodsal are Gujarati group from Middle East and I dont think they have enough support for the sport in Gujarat. Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad may be good markets for the sport. Even Chandigarh, Cuttack is a possibility. Srinagar, Imphal-possibilities are there subject to political conditions.
Renovation of ybk floodlights have started. The stands will have increased hight & leanth(side ways). The old lights used take 20 mins to fully light the stadium but according to the farm who doing the renovation the new HOT METAL LIGHTS will take only 2 mins to do so.

Great news for the Kolkata clubs. Hopefully some night games bring in more people as well... MB vs. EB coming up to.
