i think the need of the hour are proper football stadiums like ambedkar, tilak maidan, paljor etc.....where there is no chance for other sports and crowd are close to the players to actually let the home team take advantage of the 12th man
L.B.Stadium is used for nothing but daily coaching camps and if you look at its condition its not worth, you'll have to renovate it from top to bottom. Also Afro-Asian Games was hosted in Gachibowli Stadium which is by far one of the best stadiums in India.
Now Hyderabad just needs a football Association so that possible investors and clubs can register and participate in AIFF affiliated competitions like Div-2.
I dont think Hyderabad or Ahmedabad will be using those stadiums for cricket when they have their own excellent stadiums. You really think hyderabad cricket association will not let anyone use Fateh Maidan for football while their own Uppal Stadium is unused for say 300 days out of 365 in one year. My idea behind these grounds was that active cricket is not played here, not even Ranji Trophy matches. For them, It will be like renting a cheap hotel when they have their own excellent home in the same city. I understand that we need proper football stadiums but all those cities will not invest in football stadium-not in next 20 years. First build up the brand in whatever facilities you have and then later on move on to better venues-just like what BCCI did.

That is obvious bro,I mean you cant have all the football matches in Gachibowli Stadium. Two stadiums were used.
Even during AFC Challenge Cup 2008 these were the two venues, but L.B.Stadium was later removed cause of poor facilities and condition. So my point is why good for nothing L.B.Stadium when you have a top class one like Gachibowli.
In the 2nd last paragraph, they are saying that I-league matches will be played in Nehru Stadium for this season. So no more Tilak Maidan??? and they are talking about next September when stadium will be renovated.
Gomes also added
that the Goan clubs will continue to play their home matches at Margao’s
Nehru Stadium until the first week of January, as the Tilak Maidan in
Vasco won’t be ready before that.
“From what I know
the Tilak Maidan will be ready by the first week of January. There will
be new floodlights installed and the stadium will also have provision
for live television coverage,” Gomes said.
@Ashlesh Lets see. I was correct before also. You were adamant that Tilak Maidan is approved for AFC. We know what happened. ) Fatorda Stadium will be ready by November they are saying. Now time will tell how much time they need for Floodlights at Tilak maidan. I hope they make atleast one stadium in time for next year I-league.
