Only EB and MB wants 8 foreign players in the squad with 5 in the X1. This will give an unfair advantage to them and that is not right . Most of the clubs are ran on shoestring budgets ,this will only burden them more . There`s no super cup and no BFC in the I league, they are still concerned that teams like Aizawl will beat them to the title.

The increase in foreigners in playing XI is just one. Surely that wont harm. 8 is the max. You can sign, not compulsory

Nita,ISL clubs and there fans are in fear that they will be unable to compete with I-league club ls with same numbers of foreigners as there teams so they are trying the best to keep I league with 4 foreigners by paying some baggers from the I league.

If you prefer more Nepali Drogbas and kamos, then fine.
How and why should they compete against ISL clubs when there is no super cup?

Its a futile question but certainly kamo now is superior to Chopra now....5 foreigners in team for an 18 match competition is enough IMO. I still think super cup/fed cup should be held. Nov-may is ample time to have an 18 match league & have 24 (add top 4 teams from ileague 2, divide the 24 teams into 8 groups played on home and away, quarters-semis-final can be held in 1 city like current fed cup) teams play a league & knockout tournament . There is no doubt that IMG has scuttled this sensible. They are still afraid to test their self acclaimed superiority on the football pitch. Its also obvious that the big 2 cant wait to show that they belong amongst the monied elite.

    having a sensible super cup

EB MB are desperate to show that given a chance under their terms they can match the ISL teams budgets. Which is not surprising, atleast EB will pull in more cosponsors as they have shown in the past and now with Shyam Steel.

Is EN also planning to host their I-League matches at EB Ground? Last I heard their facilities are better than Mohun Bagan
