If operational airport is necessary, ozone can choose Mangaluru. Mangaluru have an international airport.daily flights to Bengaluru,Mumbai. They can use Mangala stadium.

Nothing will happen. This circus in Indian football will continue. Majority of current batch of U-17 players would be club less and turn into average players playing in two leagues every season. While rest of them will be unemployed and will join SBT, Oil and Gas, ONGC etc.

As a result of above India NT will lose by huge margins against top asian countries and people here will waste pointless hours discussing on how the other countries have improved and how we cant win despite having world class ISL.  .

"Currently, the I-League is still the official league in India. I-League winners will continue to go to the AFC Cup and the AFC Champions League," Das told TOI on the sidelines of an event. Asked to clarify the exact status of the Indian Super League (ISL), which, off late, has been promoted as India's premier league by the AIFF, he said, "ISL is a short league tournament, as it was last year."

"We were planning to implement this in 2017-18, just after the U-17 football World Cup. However, there are quite a few things that need to be sorted out. Still, we would hope to implement it in 2017-18. As of now, this is just a proposal. Nothing is final," he added.

So basically nothing new. You guys are acting as if any of this is new. The I-League is being said to be the official league cause it is... that is the current status. What else could be said? You can't say the ISL will be the new top league when currently what is tabled is a proposal only.

Minerva and Bardez submit bids for direct entry:

    http://www.indialivetoday.com/i-league-2017-minerva-fc-and-bardez-goa-submit-bids-for-direct-entry/51717.html

So till no sign of the rumoured Churchill re-entry. If Bardez is taken in, will there be space for another Goan team?

  • There should not be more than 3 clubs from Goa at this moment.. It should be either of FC Bardez or Churchill.. Unless Bardez have a strong plan and financial backing I am in favour of Churchill

Yeah, exactly. I am wondering how difficult it is for AIFF to cap the number of teams from a city to two (considering the Kolkata scenario), and three from a state (considering Goa scenario). They may further tweak the numbers by grouping states in 'large' and 'small' categories.

This can be done on a temporary/ experimental basis, to be reviewed at a later date.
