    Any idea on ileague 2 this year? Who are the confirmed teams. Will the format remain home and away. Why is I league 2 delayed by circus. Surely at least 2nd div can start now.

    from a mole in AIFF AIFF has lost interest on ISL as it has been treated as a 2nd class citizen by IMG-R. now AIFF plans to focus on I-league which will have 12 teams this season. Bangaluru,East Bengal,Mohun Bagan,Dempo,Sporting,Churchill, Shillong,Mumbai, Azwal,Minarva,Ozone and DSK. FC Bardez bid has been rejected as 3 goan clubs are all ready in I-league. FC Bardez will now compete in 2nd division. Ozone most likely to play from Mangalore. This season we will also see a diverse I-League 2 with more new state clubs will enter (I-league 2 will be played in Home&away bases like last season)

    Although I like the news I am not sure about all of it....aiff sold its soul to IMG and their top officials have been well looked after...there is little chance of indian politicians butting self respect over money

    I agree with deepakc, many will probably look at this as a victory but the AIFF doing this simply cause they are treated as second class citizens? And a mole? Jeezus.

    Also wouldn't this play into before the ISL even began when the AIFF did not make the I-League a separate entity

    AIFF didn't sell its soul to IMG R but all the rights of Indian football. AIFF cant do shit without IMGR'S PERMISSION. Still remember that during last year ILeague 2, some clubs wanted to telecast their home games on local channels. AIFF said that they will run it through IMGR and get back but they never got back.

    Don't know why IMG-R would be against that honestly. 2nd Division clubs telecasting on local channels poses no threat to them
