PIFA Sports Colaba SC announced their 2nd Division League schedule on 29th October. What is interesting is that the schedule also figuers DSK. So, whats the deal here? Will DSK actually play in Top Division? When will we have the final confirmation?
Quality of players are also not that good as the previous batches at TFA. They even lost to some SAIL Academy from Bokaro during the friendlies before the start of ileague under 18 and that too at home with around 4-5k people supporting them.
If you consider the average salary of Indian players (full pool), it has actually gone down due to ISL. Only a select few are earning good bucks. The rest have seen a drastic fall in salaries
Players who were on 20-30 lakh contracts at I league clubs are begging for jobs. Some have joined clubs for as less as 3 lakhs a season. I know of a well known I league player earning 15000 rupees a month. Now this is where the ISL is ruining the larger pool of footballers. In another 5 years you wont have any players from Goa due to the word of mouth, that, there is no money in football apart from the top players. Ultimately we end up having no cream at all and we have ISL teams full of foreigners.
