ISL will not go beyond the current duration. There would be a new plan coming from the brilliant mind of Chirag Tanna in the coming months, just hold your horses.
Could do what the A-League does. Teams play each other twice, home and away, and then they play each other for a third game, alternating each season on who is at home (basically, if Mumbai City and Pune City play each other in Mumbai during the 2017-18 season, they play in Pune the next, then they alternate).
I was wondering , what will happen winner of ISL and Super cup are same ?
How can a team play champions league and cup in same season ? If cup version = europa league then how its going to happen >_< $_$
It sounds really annoying and frustrating when people comment that I-league clubs are wanting backdoor entry into countries premier league. really astonished at hearing such a thing. really shows our ignorance and that we are eating up into whatever IMGR is throwing at us.
I_league clubs are first hand entities of Indian football even now (counting this year) and if someone is gaining entry into premier league status here, then its the ISL clubs who are gaining backdoor entry and not I-league clubs.
I have never heard of any league anywhere , where during re-structuring, the entire premier division clubs are thrown at bay and not consulted at all during proposal of a new league. Even if new clubs. franchise, amalgamation happened. it wasn't without consulting the clubs who are already at the helm of football in the country.
What is being done is actually a bully attitude trying to force a competition into the main foray, neglecting all others who should always be a participant in actual discussions and proposals. If then merger happens and whatever the decision all taken into confidence, will a structure be stable
@souravindia There is a difference here, There was and will be no protest from MB/EB & BFC if they are part of the top tier and given some consessions on franchise fees, MFC, DSK, ATK/MB/EB are willing to merge to stay in the top tier.
Surely some merger is possible in Goa, No competition from Chennai & Kerala. Shillong, Aizwal are happy to be in the second tier.
Only Salgaocar & SC goa are the ones who want to put up a fight.
I-league clubs were consulted well in advance and you see 2-3 clubs alone putting up a fight. Plus you actually have support from smaller clubs at grassroot level in the new structure as they have a possibility to enter nationally. (I know 2-3 clubs from Chennai itself want to get into League 2 or League 1 if possible)
So bullying and throwing out are actually not the right emotions here.
I would be most happy if a stable structure is put fold. I hvnt heard any of these clubs being consulted before. The proposal was put firward in a meeting with the clubs gaining only a first time hearing. I would l ke to know how many times Aiff's own technical cimmitte was consulted and meetings taken place. And goa is as much football loving state as is some ne states and bengal. Surely more clubs can bevaccomodated where craze is there to support. Regarding chennai bangalore i agree wuth u since there is not much of representation
Cmon man, No one gets into a meeting to start consultations. They become well in advance so during meeting you are merely touching on the finer points else will only be a photo & signature opportunity.
