I'm open to change and like the idea of 3 tier system... But we need to have 12 teams starting from 2017 (after merger)...

Also if AIFF & IMG R planning to include more teams in top tier to expand ISL, first preference should be given to I-League teams...

@DX Well you can answer it. Clubs cannot play in I-League without fulfilling AFC Club criteria. How many I-league clubs you know who do not meet AFC Club Licensing Criteria?
How many ISL Franchise you know who fulfill Licensing Criteria?
If they have one year, then why were they sleeping for last two years? Who is stopping them? Nobody. But do they want to fulfill AFC Criteria?
Ponzi Scheme always stay away from Guidelines, Regulations.
In 2 years, they could not even create any office or any physical address. Franchise run on Mobile Phone, Hotel and Rental Celebrity posing as owners will not get ISL recognition even in next 100 years.

First thing AFC will want is Physical Address of Chennaiyin FC. I am struggling to find it from their website. They cannot arrange an office or an address in last two years.

@Nagendra I am not opposed to the idea of I-League teams being given preference first, as long as they can pay the fee to get in and if they can show they can match up financially to the ISL teams. If Salgaocar does that then cool. I would probably still oppose them since I am not sure Goa can have two ISL teams yet and I am not a fan of the name at all but whatever.

Also why does it have to be 12 and not 10? Build slowly.

Rent for maintaining an office is very higj ;)

Again coming back to it we are just circling around the same stuff, Salgocar and Scgoa. Where is the resistance? Max they will expand the ISL teams to include one or both of them, But clearly they will struggle to compete without the finances.

All this case for these two clubs is "where is my cut in this?"

Once given cut is there any resistance to this setup from anywhere?

Just out of curiosity, where is the office of Bengaluru FC?

According to their website, they are based within the Bangalore Football Stadium at the FIFA Project Building. http://www.bengalurufc.com/club/#contact

Some wierd logic from the circus supporters. 1) there can be no relegation as our "investment"( pseudo IMO) won't be guaranteed & I league clubs supposedly cant compete with us financially.....dude if you are going to buy the best players & get world class players/coaches & get passionate supporters filling your massive stadium, what are you afraid of? Just merge the 2leagues with normal relegation & promotion .....but then that's ingr/pp vs logic...guess who wins?

Lets merge all football teams in India, Lets have a 100 team marathon league in top tier... Why prevent Mohameddan , United SC, Churchill etc from the top tier. Many Kolkata league clubs are way older and rich in legacy than many clubs playing in top tier t present. Lets also include them. It will be fun !

From lets Football we will move to Lets Merge-em-all

Nono lets make all football the pvt property of img r...whose only claim to fame is allegedly loosing 30cr annually per franchise & having very active twitter accounts... Btw CB should be in top tier but I wont mind them starting in league 1 provided promotion is allowed...
