Agree with @atuljg AIFF has a tight rope to walk. cant make anyone angry. I-League, ISL, AFC, FIFA. In the process, lets hope Indian Football is not "Walking the plank" !!!!
As predicted, merger is ruled out and 7 month simultaneous league is also being ruled out. So first ISL will be played and then after that I-League will start. PP is hinting at merger after 2-3 years.
So this year 5 m (if it is decided) ISL will be played from Nov to Mar & I League with 10 teams (18 matches for every team) from Apr to May I.e. 2 matches every 7 days which includes Bharat Bhraman as well. Then AFC Cup matches.... what a schedule....PP & his associates deserve some awards...may be some solid kicks on the back till they fall unconscious. Day by day these crooks are becoming Super crooks. Ohhhh God....please take care of these rascals for the sake of Indian Football.
In order to circumvent this problem, Bagan representative Debashish Dutta had suggested at the meeting that "the I-League and ISL should be played for four months each and separately".
really? why? so even I league clubs cant contract players for long season?
besides that, why 2 leagues of such short duration? foes it fulfill AFC/FIFA criteria of 26 matches ?
ISL if extends beyond Jan 2nd.transfer window then Franchises will complain & prepone the Circus from next year. This year I think they will by any means complete the matches before 15 Jan
