Praful coming into fray now. It's I-league not the other way round. Why on the earth in 2009 they agreed for this shit.

This is just hogwash. Just sounds like AIFF is washing their hands off of the merger issue entirely. Just sad.

Or IMG has refused to allow any merger. Merger doesn't really help them all that much. It will come with AFC monitoring, separation of club and league ownership ...why would they do it?

What crap is PP talking? "... Merger is not a task before me tomorrow. If it happens, it happens, if it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t. The I-League for the AIFF is important and the ISL is also important....". Is he in his senses? The two leagues are tearing the calendar in shreds, players are dog-tired, Fed Cup is as good as abandoned, clubs not releasing players for national duties, all due to the presence of two leagues. This is the burning problem of Indian football. And he is most casual about it.

“... ISL also will not be able to sustain in the long run without a full year’s calendar for football in India. Whether the I-League or ISL is not the issue, the football calendar of India must be busy, ...” Asshole, if you knew ISL would not be sustainable, then why launch it and mess up Indian football? Keeping the football calendar busy? Players are tired as hell and are trying to dodge national duty to preserve their carrier. The calendar should be busy, but in a meaningful way. Two 3-month long leagues are not equivalent to one 6-month long league.

Only time he was right when he said the ISL has to merge with I-league, not vice versa. Bugger knows he has to own the league, not his pal Ambanis.

There is a slim chance that in the next 2/3 years perhaps AFC CL takes off and atleast 1 or 2 I-league clubs make the GS. Maybe Nita and co could be tempted there with the CL idea. Football fans in India are definitely suckers for the European CL right next to the WC.Dunno. am just clutching at straws here. PP needs to get emasculated. Waste of good balls.

This is how he sunk AirIndia. This should be number one priority to fix the domestic calendar before anything meaningful has to take place in Indian football. No direction or short term erection also .. tired of this shit ...

Took the words right out of my mouth. Especially the first point. Just what are his priorities? Indian football is suffering more than it ever has in the past. Pathetic state of affairs.
Am pretty new here, but is there anyone in IFN from the AIFF or knows anyone from there?

@7negi is AIFF himself and @gaffertape is AIFF rebel with a vast network of spies in aiff, every ISL and I league club.  :p

PP has also hinted that he wouldn't mind an Asian in FIFA top brass....

Parivaar/Khandaan/Family must have refused for the merger. They have nothing to gain if ISL and I-League become one. They have their own private show where they own all the teams thru relatives and fake owners like actors/cricket players.

@Maddie IPL style league was a pre-condition by IMG-Reliance before they agreed to get a deal with AIFF. Its the only way they think they can recoup their investment.
